“American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi is now Mrs. Mike McCuddy. Congratulations to the happy couple. The two were married on July 5, 2009.

Kara DioGuardi and general contractor Mike McCuddy were engaged on December 8, 2008 while on vacation in Mexico, though the engagement was not announced until January 2009, when Kara made her “American Idol” debut. After a relatively quick courtship, the couple was married over the Fourth of July holiday.
DioGuardi’s wedding ceremony took place in Prospect Harbor, Maine in front of 30 friends and family. The beautiful bride wore a strapless Vera Wang. Of the couple, their Pastor Scott Nurse, said,
“They are absolutely in love with each other. When I told him he could kiss the bride, everybody cheered. It was a very close, small family-type service.”
The wedding was just across the street from Kara’s home. A cute gesture, considering the couple had met when he built a house next door to her.
