Meet Grace Rwaramba, Michael Jackson’s nanny. See photos, video and a biography of the woman who worked for the late King of Pop for seventeen years, first as a secretary and then as nanny to his three children, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince Michael Jackson II, aka Blanket Jackson.
The nanny of Michael Jackson’s children (pictures above) Grace Rwaramba is in the news today in the aftermath of the sudden and untimely death of the music legend.
The 42-year-old reportedly was dismissed by Jackson in December 2008.
An article by Daphne Barak published in the Times of London quotes the former nanny who makes claims about the singer’s life and circumstances in general and in particular about his alleged prescription drug abuse.
You can see the full interview and Grace Rwaramba pictures here.
She claims during the interview that the singer had been taking many prescription drugs. She is quoted as saying:
“[H]e always ate too little and mixed too much. I had to pump his stomach many times . . . He always mixed so much of it. There was one period that it was so bad that I didn’t let the children see him.”
She also claims that she and the family attempted an intervention.
“We tried to do an intervention. It was me, Janet, his mother. I co-ordinated it. He was so angry with me. He screamed at me, ‘You betrayed my trust. You called them behind my back.’ I told him, ‘Michael I didn’t betray your trust. I try to help you.’ But he didn’t want to listen. That was one of the times he let me go.”
Mallika Chopra, offers a different perspective on the interview. Chopra’s father, the physician and author Deepak Chopra, was Michael Jackson’s longtime friend. She says in the article that Grace Rwaramba is more than her best friend; that she refers to her “as my sister, and she thinks of my parents as her own (she actually calls my father papa)” and goes on to state that Rwaramba had read the article before she published it.
Mallika Chopra then challenges some of the quotations from the Daphne Barak Times of London article. For instance, she claims:
“For the record, Grace never pumped Michael’s stomach. She has no idea how she would even do such a thing.”
Grace Rwaramba, Michael Jackson’s nanny is to be interviewed by the LAPD as a part of the investigation of the June 25, 2009 death of the singer.
As a biography, Grace Rwaramba is 42 years old and is from Rwanda. Her full name is Grace Sanyu Rwaramba. She attended college in the U.S. in Massachusetts in the late 1980s. According to public records she married Stacey M. Adair in Las Vegas in 1995.
She worked for the King of Pop for 17 years, first as a secretary and then eventually became as she is known now; Grace Rwaramba, Michael Jackson’s nanny for his three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince Michael Jackson II, aka Blanket Jackson.
In 2006 reports claimed that she and the singer would get married, but the reports proved unfounded, and it was revealed that was still married at that time to her husband.
More photos of Grace Rwaramba can be seen here. A rare video interview with the nanny is below.

FYI… Grace Rwaramba was married last December 04, 2008 in Las Vegas to Mr. Joseph Kisembo, a Ugandan businessman. The CN#20081203000894540 (availabile free online).
I am just wondering why everyone is carefully excluding this fact? Especially in light of what one of her friends posted today online about Mrs. Kisembo needing her or Barak to pay for an arline ticket.
You see, Mr. Kisembo is an executive for a well known American oil company doing business in Uganda.

Very interesting info Frankie! Great job investigating, and Daphine as well!

Dear Frankie,
You uncovered a major LIE about this woman, peddled on a public site, who is now trying to get out of statements allegedly made to journalist Daphine Barek. I would forward this highly relevant information to the head of the Robbery/Homicide division of LAPD, the head of the Jackson investigation, who will be questioning Grace the Nanny, hopefully under oath, under penalty of perjury, and be armed with this type of information they have tried to peddle in the public domain.

Does anyone know if Grace has an attorney or PR rep? I’m a reporter trying to get a hold of one of them.
Thanks,
Jeff

I went to High School with Grace. There are several inaccuracies in her bio, including where she is from… Why can’t everyone leave her alone ? Wait until she’s done grieving… and believe me, she IS grieving.

Grace was wonderful to Michael’s kids, and so was Michael. Please leave them alone.

I don’t know what is true and what isn’t. I’m personally sick of all of MJs so-called friends and ex-employees running this man into the ground. It’s a wonder he didn’t pass away sooner with all the stress he was under. With all the hell that man has had to endure, I would have turned to alcohol myself. I’m not condoning substance abuse. But given that this man has been ridiculed in the worst way by the media and the public, it’s a wonder he could function at all. Let’s let the man and his family have peace! I will always remember him as the King of Pop. He was a wonderful entertainer and human being. Leave it at that.

I agree with Jane, I am sick over the way this wonderful man was treated.I sent him a card of support once, wish I had sent a complaint to the media to treat him with the respect he deserved.
