UPDATED with the live concert performance video from June 20, 2009 below. What began as a musical duet of two 16-year-old pop stars may now be more, as Miley Cyrus has confirmed rumors that she and ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas have, in her words, “reconnected.”
She made the revelation during a radio interview, on Friday, June 12, on 107.5 The River’s Woody and Jim morning show in Nashville as reported by USMagazine.com
“He’s my best friend, and we still hang out all the time. We’ve definitely reconnected. We don’t know what’s going to happen in the future, but right now we’re just kind of kicking it and hanging out as much as we can.”
Meanwhile, in the days preceding the release of the Grammy Award nominated band’s new album, fans had been eagerly awaiting every snippet and every song that emerged. No less the Miley Cyrus Nick Jonas Before The Storm with the teen pop stars; the Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist of the Jonas Brothers.
The Before The Storm lyrics and music were written collectively by the band, Nick Jonas, Joseph Jonas, Kevin Jonas. Some of the poignant lines of the Miley Cyrus Nick Jonas Before the Storm lyrics: ‘I was thinking back to where we started and how we lost all that we are./We were young and times were easy but I can see it’s not the same.’ The Before the Storm lyrics in their entirety are here.
The forthcoming Jonas Brothers ‘Lines Vines and Trying Times’ album was released internationally on June 16, 2009 and the band embarked on the Jonas Brothers World tour which kicked off at New Cowboy Stadium, Arlington, Texas on June 20, 2009 where Miley Cyrus made a guest appearance as seen in the video below. Former American Idol Jordin Sparks, Wonder Girls and Honor Society are among supporting acts who will perform at various points during the tour.
Miley Cyrus has also been on tour in the UK and later in the U.S. with her older brother, Trace Cyrus’ band Metro Station as a supporting act.
