The singer, still dogged with ‘Kelly Clarkson pregnant or Kelly Clarkson fat?’ rumors may have fueled the both rumors even as she delivered solid, exciting performances on March 14, 2009 SNL of the tracks from her newly released fourth studio album, ‘All I Ever Wanted,’ while wearing a figure hugging blue dress that unabashedly revealed her curves. She created quite a stir with her recent appearance on American Idol with people desperately searching for the reason for the obvious Kelly Clarkson weight gain.
Her hit single ‘My Life Would Suck without You’ was co-written by Max Martin and Dr. Luke, who also wrote Katy Perry’s ‘I Kissed a Girl’ and the controversial Britney Spears’ single ‘If U Seek Amy.’ The single jumped from No. 97 to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making history as the biggest leap to No. 1 on the chart. Clarkson has not topped the chart since 2002 with her first single, ‘A Moment Like This,’ which was the song written her as the first season American Idol winner, and is from her debut album, Thankful.’
The newly released album, ‘All I Ever Wanted, will debut at No. 1 on Billboard 200 according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The first ever American Idol winner’s career is in full swing, and if all there is for the Internet rumor mill is Kelly Clarkson weight gain chatter, she can count herself lucky indeed as she tops charts and enriches the television landscape with stellar performances. For her part, she expresses satisfaction with her appearance.
“I feel very fortunate coming from ‘American Idol’. I was the biggest girl in the group. I’ve always been thicker and millions of people voted for me. People are born all different shapes and sizes. People like me this way.”
