The season finale of the Bachelor aired tonight, March 2, 2009. In the end Bachelor Jason Mesnick chose Melissa Rycroft, and we hope they live happily ever after. And that gold gown? Gorgeous!
BUT that’s not the end for the Bachelor. In the moment of the show called “after the final rose”, Jason admits that the chemistry with Melissa has slipped away, and in reality, he can’t stop thinking about Molly. What?!?
As a biography, Melissa Rycroft is 25 years old and grew up in Dallas, Texas. She is a Libra, so her birthday is in the fall. Her measurements are 5′4″. She performed as a cheerleader with the Dallas Cowboys (she even appeared on the CMT television show), but she also worked as a land and marketing coordinator.
Her lifetime goal is,
“Just to be happy, keep smiling, and have no regrets about any of the decisions I’ve made.”
Her favorite foods are sushi and cheese pizza. Her favorite color is blue, and she loves her some Frosted Mini Wheats. She says she never learned to whistle.
Rumors started circulating in January that Melissa would bring home the final rose all because of a pinky ring that she was spotted wearing. And it turns out they were right … and wrong. Although Jason chose Melissa, he changed his mind after the final rose. Now people are rooting for Melissa as the next Bachelorette. Time will tell.

So tacky. I thought that Jason was a really good guy and was really looking for ‘true’ love, however, with his change of decisions…midstream, tells me that, 1st..he can’t handle relationship pressure (no relationship is going to be good ALL THE TIME….and 2nd..it’s all about getting what you want…..no matter who you hurt…..I’m disappointed…..

I can’t believe what Jason did! He seemed like a really good man for Melissa, but then he wants to go back to Molly and she took him back! What a disappoint this Bachelor turned out to be. I hope Molly dumps him!!

i think that he is a jerk for dumping melissa on national tv. i would have way more respect for him if he had kept that heart breaking moment private. i wish melissa all the luck in the world in whatever she decides to do.

I was shocked that he took the easy way out and stepped down from being a man. What he did to Melissa was bogus. What a D!@#head.

Seriously??? “Jay” didn’t speak with “Mol” since the final rose ceramony?… ya right! and c’mon loser “Jay” can’t be all these women that the problem….perhaps time has come for you to “Man-Up”!! Make “a go” for something that “feels” right, rather than dump it for the next easy…..

melissa deserves to find someone better.and more supportive parents.
jason’s son will be screwed up. his dad’s head isnt on straight. mesnick has great looks and a sincere manner but he is a pretty screwed up fellow. although no one knows, or isnt talking about why his wife left him, there must have been a good reason.
ABC wins the MTiT award (Most Tasteless in Television for airing the After the rose episode that humiliates melissa rycroft. that jason mesnick agreed to do it on the air says how thoughtless he really is.
