The Lisa Rinna Playboy photos mark her long awaited return to the magazine. See the photos and video of the actress who previously posed for the magazine in 1998 when she was six-and-a-half months pregnant.
It’s been a long hiatus but she is back in the May 2009 issue with a photo shoot by celebrated photographer Deborah Anderson, whose work has been compared to the legendary Helmut Newton. The photographer had an odd request. She wanted the fit and trim actress and former Dancing with the Stars contestant to stop working out.
“This was really hard for me because being 45 years old and posing for Playboy, you want to amp it up…She said, ‘I do not want you long and sinewy and angular and muscular. I want you soft,’ ” says Rinna.
The actress was pleased to report on the enthusiasm of her husband, Harry Hamlin, upon seeing the Playboy photos: “Unbelievable! They’re absolutely awesome!’
The Lisa Rinna Playboy pictures are unusual for the magazine, and are reminiscent of another era, as they are purposefully meant to evoke the 1967 classic movie The Graduate, which starred Anne Bancroft as the older woman who seduced a younger Dustin Hoffman.
Here are the May 2009 Lisa Rinna Playboy photos and cover. The tasteful and beautifully shot pictures are reasonably safe for work and reveal why the actress and her husband have been so enthusiastic.
Photographer Deborah Anderson also recently did another photo shoot with Lisa Rinna for ‘Room 23,’ a newly released coffee table book of photographs of celebrities including George Clooney, Elton John, Lindsay Lohan, Kid Rock, Sharon Stone, James Blunt, and Cindy Crawford. Book sales will benefit the UCLA Sanela Diana Jenkins International Justice Clinic. The photographer used a style popularized by German Expressionist Max Beckmann which juxtaposes social formality and the eroticism for maximum sensual effect.
Lisa Rinna is best known for her roles in two daytime dramas; Billie Reed on Days of our Lives and Taylor McBride on Melrose Place. She also made a memorable appearance as a contestant on DWTS in 2006. She has also released a workout DVD, Dance Body Beautiful, with choreographer Louis Van Amstel which incorporates dance moves.
That was years ago but, to this day, I look back on it and think, ‘Oh, my God. What happened? What was I thinking?’ I was six-and-half-months pregnant and I was nervous. I never would’ve thought I would pose nude for anything.
I didn’t have a contract with any clauses like, ‘Don’t show this. Don’t show that.’ I just kind of bared it all. I put it all out there. I have a more European approach to the human body. I think if it’s shot right and you do it in a tasteful, artistic way, there’s nothing more beautiful.
And once again, Lisa Rinna Playboy photos prove a winner. More photos and video are below.
