Meet Kerri Kasem, the daughter of the “Weekly Top 40″ host Casey Kasem and a radio host in her own right. See her biography, photos, and video here.
Kerri Kasem is currently working on a televised contest brought about by ALO Hayati, a the leading lifestyle magazine from the Middle East. The show will be a “talent competition aimed at discovering young artists capable of bridging world cultures”. Competitors will be judged in modeling, acting and music, and they must perform in both Arabic and English. Kerri hosts the event.
As a biography, Kerri Kasem was born July 12, 1978 in Los Angeles, so her age is 31. Her parents are radio DJ Casey Kasem and his first wife, Linda Myers Kasem. She graduated from the Academy of Radio Broadcasting and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Kerri has followed in her father’s footsteps, now working as a radio host herself. She got her start as a MTV VJ in Asia and then as a reporter on E!, but has since moved on to radio. She currently has four hosting gigs: “Radio Rocks”, “National Lampoon Comedy Countdown”, “The Solomon Free Money Hour”, and a co-host of the morning show on Las Vegas’ KXNT 840 AM. She has also worked as an actress, appearing in “L.A. Wars” and “My Life as a Troll”.
Kerri once competed on ESPN’s “Beg, Borrow & Deal”, but that isn’t her only work with a sports show. She also worked as pre- and post-fight interviewer for UFC. Kerri has interests in martial arts, having studied both Kempo Karate and Jiu Jitsu.
Kerri enjoys skydiving, horseback riding, bungee jumping and motorcycle riding. She is rumored to have dated George Maloof, Corey Feldman, and Ryan Seacrest.
