Celebrated golfer Tiger Woods and his beautiful wife, Elin Nordegren, have just had their second child, a son. See photos, video here.
The couple named their new son Charlie Axel Woods. Their first child, a daughter, is Sam Alexis Woods, born on June 18, 2007. The enthusiastic two-time father shared the news on his Web site.
“Elin and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our son…Both Charlie and Elin are doing great…Sam is very excited to be a big sister and we feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful family…Elin, Sam and I are very excited for the new baby to arrive, although that’s when the real lack of sleep begins”
Tiger Woods was also coincidentally recuperating from knee surgery; that coupled with the imminent birth of his second child kept him away from the Buick Invitational tournament in Torrey Pines, California which he’s played in 11 times and won six times. The first child was born less than 24 hours after Woods finished second in the U.S. Open in 2007.
He is now 33 years old and his wife, Elin Nordegren is 29 years old. She was born in Stockholm, Sweden and has a twin sister, Josefin. Both she and her twin sister worked as nannies for the Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik. It was he who introduced Elin to Tiger Woods in 2001 and the couple married in October 2004 in a lavish wedding by the 19th hole of the Sandy Lane Golf Resort in Barbados. Wedding guests included many A-Listers from Bill Gates to Oprah Winfrey to Michael Jordan.
