Television personality and columnist Whitney Casey can now add book author to her resume, ‘The Man Plan: Drive Men Wild – Not Away’ is set to come out in January 2009. The book is full of tips and tricks to help women attract men, such as wearing sweeter smelling perfumes and slightly hint at your undergarments, and tells women they should do their homework when preparing for a date.

Whitney Casey was a student at the University of Southern California, and made the wise decision to transfer to the University of Virginia (WAHOOWA! gotta love my alma mater!) She was a pre-med student and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. She has also played volleyball at Virginia, and she was honored as an Academic All-American.

Whitney Casey began her news career at a Fox affiliate in Macon, Georgia. She also worked for NBC in Miami, and for CBS’ flagship station in New York. She moved on to anchor for ABC News in New York doing news breaks and hosting and producing ‘Politics Live’, a show that aired in Times Square and on the internet. During this time, she also wrote a Page 2 column for ESPN.com titled ‘Whitticisms’.

It was cable news that really launched Whitney Casey’s career. She became one of CNN’s youngest correspondents as a reporter and part-time anchor of Headline News. Some of the stories she covered in this role were the September 11th terrorist attacks, the Anthrax scares, Elian Gonzalez’s custody battle, and Florida’s 2000 Presidential Election recounts. She also dipped her toe into the Hollywood scene, and has covered the Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award shows.

In 2004, Whitney Casey was invited by by Prince Albert of Monaco to lead a panel of the world’s top media leaders in an international media ethics debate held in Monte Carlo. She has also worked with the World Economic Forum in Geneva, Switzerland, assisting in the creation of the Forum of Young Global Leaders, and with the Clinton Global Initiative.

Until recently, Whitney Casey was the host and senior producer of “Great Day Houston?, a live talk show with a studio audience, airing daily on the CBS affiliate in Houston, Texas. She also wrote a column in the Sunday edition of the Houston Chronicle. She left these two jobs behind to pursue a radio talk show on relationships. She is also currently pimping her book ‘The Man Plan: Drive Men Wild – Not Away’.

In 1998, Whitney Casey was married to Jason Sehorn for 9 months.
