Mathew Horne, star of British sitcom ‘Gavin and Stacey’ is set to star in the upcoming horror comedy ‘Lesbian Killer Vampires’. Horne’s character goes on vacation with fellow ‘Gavin and Stacey’ actor James Corden, only to find the town ravaged by a pack of lesbian vampires. HA! The film is set to come out March 20, 2009.
Mathew Fraser Horne was born September 6, 1978 in Nottingham, England. He studied A level performing arts at the Minster School, Southwell, and performing arts at the University of Manchester.
30 year old Mathew Horne began his professional career as a stand-up comedian. He later became one half of the comedy duo Mat and MacKinnon, who first performed at the Edinburgh Festival in 2000. In 2003, a spot on ’20 Things to do Before You’re 30′ earned him a role on the hit series ‘Teachers’. From 2004-2007, he appeared on ‘The Catherine Tate Show’, and in 2007 he starred in the sitcom ‘Roman’s Empire’ and played Kylie Minogue’s assistant in comedy sketches on ‘The Kylie Show’.
In 2007, Mathew Horne co-created the hit show ‘Gavin and Stacey’ with James Corden (which Americans can soon check out, as BBC America is set to air the series). They have presented numerous shows together, including ‘Big Brother’ spin-off ‘Big Brother’s Big Mouth’ and the Shockwaves Awards, and they are working on the sketch comedy show ‘Horne and Corden’. The duo are also set to appear in the upcoming movie ‘Lesbian Vampire Killers’, due out in March 2009.
As far as his personal life goes, he says he does not want to marry and have children. He explains that he feels he is “too selfish” to have a child, and fears that he’d be stuck with an ugly one, which he says he “couldn’t bear.”
