Three teen aged girls near Redding in Northern California decided to take a dip in the sink used to wash dishes at the Anderson KFC they all worked at. After closing the store, the three girls stripped down into their underwear (or changed into swimsuits) and piled into the the dish washing sink. They captured the moment with a series of photos, which one of the girls uploaded onto her public Myspace page in an album called “KFC Moments.”
The girls’ manager, who was not on duty at the time of the incident, learned of the publicly posted photos several days after the fact and suspended the girls. The following day, the girls were fired. Rick Maynard, a KFC spokesman, said:
“KFC has zero tolerance for violations of our operating standards, and our franchisee has taken immediate action by terminating the employees who were involved.”
Upon learning of the story, restaurant patrons were disgusted with the incident, and expressed concern over the possible health issues. The KFC last passed a health inspection in September 2008 and is due for another one in January 2009.
