Jennifer Aniston is on the cover of the latest Entertainment Weekly, posed with an adorable golden lab who seems to be as unruly as her costar in the upcoming Marley and Me.
The article jumps right into Jennifer’s life in the tabloids. She describes herself as almost like two people – the one portrayed in the rags (whom she refers to as her “Hannah Montana”), and her actual life. On the constant pregnancy rumors and speculation in the gossip news, she says:
”Oh, my God, it’s hysterical! You can’t do anything without it going to some extreme. It’s almost going to take away the fun from actually being able to say one day, ‘I’m pregnant!’ Everyone will be like, ‘Yeah, right.’ It’s the boy who cried wolf. Stop stealing my thunder, motherf—ers!”
Jennifer also talks about the “uncool” comment she made during an interview with Vogue, which they plastered on the cover. She says the quote was taken out of context. She made a comment about Angelina Jolie publicly talking about the timeline surrounding her and Brad Pitt falling in love. Of what Vogue made of her “uncool” comment, she said:
”Good God. You have to laugh at it all at the end of the day. I was just surprised that Vogue would go so tabloid. I was bummed. But you almost expect it. Big deal. Done. Next.”
She also talks about the direction her life and career are going in. She feels like things are just beginning for her. Jennifer does mention how she feels her career since Friends has been heavily scrutinized, which she feels can be very weighing. She says she has stopped paying attention, because it was just too much to take. She admits that there have been movies in her past that she has been less than thrilled to promote, but says the the decisions to do those roles are what they are, and you should just move on. Jennifer did laugh and say some of the movies she did parallel her life, the irony of which was not lost on her. Movies like Rumor Has It, Derailed, and The Break Up did seem to pick up on several themes in her private life. She doesn’t speak or think ill of her marriage and breakup with Brad Pitt, however. She wishes him well on his upcoming movie, and states she has seen about an hour of it and calls it “amazing.”
She says that her upcoming movie, Marley and Me, which is her first since The Break Up two and a half years ago, is a good one. She said that she originally passed on the movie, thinking it was just going to be something about a dog. But after taking a second look, she saw it was much more than that, and felt it was a good project for her. Check out the trailer for the movie below
