We all know the traditional song ‘Ave Maria’ right? Well Beyonce has taken that song and made a version of the religious hymn into a love song of sorts, saying that finding her love is a spiritual experience. Read more about it below, watch videos and see the lyrics.

Beyonce wants to showcase her two sides - personal and public - in her new double-CD called ‘I Am … Sasha Fierce’ which hit stores on November 18th.
She is, afterall, the self-proclaimed ‘number one diva in the game,’ as she quips in her song, “Diva.â€? She’s a singer, actress, entrepreneur, model, and superstar. She is so famous that she only goes by one name: Beyonce. So why shouldn’t she take one of our classic hymns like ‘Ave Maria’ and transform it into a love song?

Her taking of Ave Maria and changing into some kind of a secular love song is bad enough. To wear the dress she did at Rockefellar Center was downright disgusting. Just another attack on Catholics and Christians.

This is such a powerful and wonderful song. Brings alot of emotions to me. It’s absolutely beautiful! It brings me to tears that are filled with joy and sorrow and pain.

Why do people ‘assume’ that others are ‘attacking’ when they’ve done something they don’t like/disagree with. GET OVER IT, see the beauty in things not the excess waste. She’s trying to portray that ‘finding her love is a spiritual experience’(read above) hence the beautiful hymn that is ‘ave maria’ BUT there has to be a balance somewhere and without a doubt she was bound to be ridiculed for the making of this song. She must of known this, and still she went ahead. NO FAIR Beyonce! Makes her the more stronger I guess, so keep your negative comments coming, whats done is done and what doesn’t break her/you makes her/you stronger. God Bless

she’s not necessarily talking about a partner, she could be referring to her ave maria.
her ‘voice inside’
alot of ‘love songs’ are not at all actually about partners just a love for someone could be a friend, relative or God.
