Princes William and Harry hosted the world premiere of the new Bond flick, Quantum of Solace. Read about it below, see a video and check out a large selection of photos from the event!
Prince William and Prince Harry hosted the Quantum of Solace world premier at the Odeon theater, Leicester Square in London. Word on the street is the movie is awesome! The movie will be in UK theaters on October 31st, but we won’t be able to see it here in the United States until November 14th. I’m sure its worth the wait though.
This is Daniel Craig’s second outing as 007 James Bond, his first being in Casino Royale, of course. In the 46 years of the Bond franchise this is the first time that Bond has grown a a bit of a heart. Quantum of Solace is a direct sequel to Craig’s previous Bond film and instead of being completely On Her Majesty’s Secret Service business, he’s taking care of some business of his own this time. Namely, revenge for the death of his bond with his previous Bond girl. Sigh. Don’t worry though, there’s plenty of vintage Bond action, car chases, shoot ‘em ups and more.
Enough of the movie! We’ll see it next month and you can get a taste of it in the TV ad for it below. Let’s check out the London Premiere. The Princes William and Harry hosted it. They arrived to 3,000 fans who braved arctic cold weather to see the Royal duo. The proceeds went to charities of the Princes choice. Their charities were Help for Heroes and the Royal British Legion. Therefore, they honored the real British heroes who were given a place of honor in the front along the rope line. The Princes spent time welcoming each one of the wounded Soldiers who was there.
They also spent time in a special meet and greet with the cast, crew and other special guests. There were gorgeous gowns and body parts showing everywhere. Daniel Craig had his arm in a sling, shaking hands with his left hand, following surgery for an injury he suffered while filming the film. He took the sling off to shake the hand of Prince William.
Elle Macpherson was in a purple dress that would have belied the freezing weather outside if it hadn’t been for the dark stockings she wore. At least her legs were probably warm. That’s a good thing seeing as her boobs were barely contained at the top end of the little number she was wearing. No one was complaining though.
Craig’s long-term girlfriend Satsuki Mitchel was there on his arm in a long, lovely, sparklie gown that had a cut out backless dress that exposed a charming curve to her waist. Craig proclaimed her to be his favorite Bond Girl.
Bond girl Gemma Arterton seemed to throughly enjoy meeting the Princes who seemed to totally enjoy meeting her. She giggled as Prince Harry wondered aloud why it took him so long to get to her in the receiving line. We shall now call him Prince Charming! Then again, her strapless purple gown seemed to not only be topless, but bottomless. Was something missing or was this specially made to reveal those toned and tanned legs? Whatever the case, just like with Elle Macpherson’s bulging breasts, no one was complaining.
The others pictured below are the Ukrainian Bond Girl Olga Kurylenko, lovely in a backless red gown. She says she’s proud to be the only Bond Girl who doesn’t end up in bed with 007. We also have Opera singer Katherine Jenkins in a street length multi-colored number that I’m not fond of, but the purple pumps are darling. Dame Judi Dench, who plays Bond’s boss, Ms. M is lovely in black. She shows off her fake jeweled 007 tattoo on the back on her neck. We also have a couple of photos of Jack White and Karen Elson, the author of the bond theme tune. Chris Hoy arrived in a Kilt. I love a man in a kilt!
It was a great Royal evening. Enjoy the 25 photos we have for you here!
