Fans of the campy 2007 movie ‘Blades of Glory’ know that Will Arnett costarred with his wife Amy Poehler in that film as pairs figure skaters. Asked in one of the DVD bonus features if they were ever to have a baby, would it be the funniest child in the world, they broke character, giggled, and gave a genuine answer: they felt their baby would be like a mini - Sean Penn.

William “Will” Emerson Arnett was born on May 5, 1970 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada so his age is 38. He says Steve Martin and Chevy Chase as his two biggest comedic influences. His favorite band is Built to Spill, his favorite movie is Shaun of the Dead, and his favorite television show is The Office. Will grew up watching hockey in Canada, and is an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
At age 20, Will Arnett moved from Toronto to New York in order to study acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. He began appearing in plays in New York and his first acting role was in the Felicity Huffman independent film called Erie.
By 1996, he was offered several television pilots but they never were picked up by the networks. He found sucess in television when in 2003, he was cast in the role of George Oscar “G.O.B.” Bluth II in the Fox comedy series Arrested Development. Arnett’s character was one of the show’s most popular and he was nominated for an Emmy for his role.
After the cancellation of Arrested Development, Arnett leveraged his newly gained credibility into a number of large roles in feature films including Blades of Glory with Will Farrell. He also has had a number of guest roles on television shows including 30 Rock.
In 1994, Will married actress Penelope Ann Miller, and they divorced in 1995. In 2000, he started dating Amy Poehler and they got married on August 29, 2003. He and Amy have two dogs, Puzzle and Suki, and they live in New York City. And now, they have little Archie!
And by the way, Will Arnett has a deal with Fox to star in a new comedy project for the network.
