The gorgeous and quite intense Colin Farrell has a new movie called Pride and Glory and it’s set to open soon. It’s billed as an intense tale of a New York City police family. Sounds like the perfect movie for Colin! Read more about the film, see photos, and watch the video trailer.

The last thing you want to uncover…is the truth.

Sounds a bit serious! That’s the tag line from the upcoming movie starring Colin Farrell, Jon Voight, Lake Bell and Edward Norton. Here’s the basic plot line:

“A saga centered on a multi-generational family of New York City Police officers. The family’s moral codes are tested when Ray Tierney (Edward Norton), investigates a case that reveals an incendiary police corruption scandal involving his own brother-in-law (Colin Farrell). For Ray, the truth is revelatory, a Pandora’s Box that threatens to upend not only the Tierney legacy but the entire NYPD.”

The entire cast was there for the film’s NYC premiere last night. Colin was still sporting his “Triage” ‘do. The pictures are terrific.

A fun fact about the movie is that “The Prodigals,” one of the most successful bands to emerge from the East Coast Irish rock scene is making the jump to the big screen and has 2 tracks in Pride and Glory. The music supervisor for the film was Nic Harcourt, an iconic West Coast tastemaker who discovered Coldplay, Damien Rice, Moby and Norah Jones.

Pride and Glory is rated R and was originally slated for released on March 14, 2008, but this date was scrapped by New Line Cinema, and the film is now scheduled to be released on October 24, 2008.
