Britney Spears is under a sex ban for six months in the hopes she’ll continue to make progress in her attempts to keep from falling into the abyss. Read about it below and see photos and a video.

Britney Spears’ parents have placed her under a six-month sex ban. Jamie and Lynne Spears have taken control of pretty much everything in Britney’s life in an attempt to save her from what looked like a complete mental breakdown. She’s made a lot of progress in the past year, but I’m sure she’s still got a way to go yet. Apparently, her parents think so too. Its being reported that they feel she’s so close to getting her life back that they don’t want some low-down man to come along and ruin it for her.

Seeing as she has not had a track record of picking even half way decent men, her parents have sworn her off men altogether.

A friend tells Now, “Jamie and Lynne feel she’s so close to cracking the big time again that they don’t want anything to get in her way.

“They’re desperate to ensure that it won’t happen again. Their worst nightmare is that she gets involved with someone else who’s just trying to use her for her money or to further their own career.�

No ‘Womanizer’ for her unless she ‘Opps … I did it Again’. Yeah, I know, that was lame.

This whole new celibacy thing is happening just in time for her former paparazzi boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, to release the sex tape he’s been trying to sell. Didn’t Britney do the virginity thing right up to the point she had that one day Las Vegas marriage a few years ago?

It seems that she’s been taken under her parents’ wing of protection in a way that she never was as a child. Maybe this is what the psychologists call ‘re-parenting’. You mess it up the first time, then you get to do it again with your adult child. Well, hey, if it works, that will be great. Seriously, I hope it works.
