O. J. Simpson has been found guilty on all charges in his robbery trial in Las Vega. Read about it below and see photos and a video.
The O.J. Simpson verdict is guilty on all charges related to the incident in which he broke into a Las Vegas hotel room last year. The 12 counts included armed robbery and kidnapping and carry a possible sentence of 15 years to life.
I’m sure you’ve heard about the Keystone Cops type commando raid Simpson went on with a few of his closest friends to retrieve some of his sports memorabilia. Simpson has claimed that the sports items were stolen from him. The men arranged to meet the memorabilia dealers in their room under the guise of planning to buy some of it. Instead, they stormed the room with weapons and left with hundreds of items that had belonged to Simpson and other football stars at one time.
As soon as the verdict was read, OJ Simpson was put in handcuffs and lead out of the courtroom. His sister sobbed and fainted. Simpson, however, didn’t show any emotion as the verdict was read and he was lead away.
The football Hall of Fame inductee and former actor was found guilty on all charges exactly 13 years to the day after he was acquitted of murder in the deaths of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. Even though he was acquitted of murder in that incident, he has never gotten out from under the shadow of suspicion in that horrific crime.
His attorneys have already announced that they will appeal the verdict. They have stated that they don’t feel he can get a fair trial because of his infamous trial of thirteen years ago and the public perception that he may have gotten away with murder.
His sentencing is scheduled for December 5th. Because guns were involved in the incident, he could face up to life in prison.
