Meet Aliona Doletskaya, the editor in chief of Vogue Russia , who was reportedly introduced as “the next editor of American Vogue.” Is she the next Anna Wintour? Read her biography and see photos and video here.

Aliona Doletskaya is rumored to be in the line up to replace the legendary American Vogue editor in chief, Anna Wintour. Aliona is currently the editor for Russian Vogue. However, recent media outlets report that she was introduced at a Conde Nast magazine meeting in Moscow as “the next editor of American Vogue.” Regardless of whether this holds any truth, she is still someone to keep an eye on, as her success has just begun.

Aliona Doletskaya’s biography is vague, but we do know she is a fashionable woman who has built Russian Vogue from the ground up in ten years. Introduced in 1998, during an unsteady economic situation, Aliona has successfully brought Russian Vogue to a successful 200,000 circulation, with 340 pages of advertising.

Aliona Doletskaya has been compared to the editor of Paris’’ Vogue, Carine Roitfeld, who she is close friends with. She graduated from Moscow State University with a Ph.D. in comparative linguistics, and her ability to adapt and accommodate her readers has made her a huge success. Adding to the rumors that she may fill Anna Wintour’s shoes, is her appearance at New York Fashion Week, a writeup in the Times, and Forbes write up saying Wintour is “so out.?

When Aliona Doletskaya was reportedly introduced as “the next editor of American Vogue”, a spokesman for Anna Wintour responded: “These variations are nothing unusual for magazine publishing, and we have the greatest admiration for every editor in chief of all the international Vogues.”
