It was seven years ago when Mariah Carey debuted her acting skills in the dreadful movie Glitter. Now she is giving acting another try in the new movie Tennessee. The movie follows a similar plot line of a talented singer struggling in everyday life, aspiring to make it big.
A drama starring Mariah Carey, Adam Rothenberg, and Ethan Peck is about “two lower-middle class brothers who take to the road to resolve their economic and health challenges. Along the way they meet a waitress (Carey) whose dreams of a singing career have been dashed by a bad marriage.�
Mariah Carey has a ballad in the film, “Right to Dream,” which she co-wrote with Willie Nelson.
Hopefully Mariah’s new movie Tennessee will yield better reviews and earnings than Glitter, which took in only $4.3 million dollars.
