Jennifer Hudson, who was booted early on in the competition from American Idol Season 3, has had a string of successes since that time. Not only has her sense of style matured, but her singing voice has taken on something it was sorely lacking during the show; emotion.
The emotionality of her singing earned Jennifer Hudson a Golden Globe and a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 2006 for her stunning portrayal of Effie White in “Dreamgirls.” Since then, she has produced a new album, had a supporting role in the “Sex and the City” movie, and made numerous appearances.
This newest honor, the ability to sing for Presidential candidate Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention, is just another big step for Jennifer Hudson in her journey to stardom.
