Olympic Cutie Natalie Coughlin Advances

Natalie Coughlin, the 25 old American swimmer, won her heat last night in the 200 meter individual medley race, and will now go on to compete in the finals.




Natalie Coughlin, who is originally from Lafayette, California, recently set a world record in the 100 meter backstroke by being the first woman ever to finish in 59 seconds. She will be competing in the 200 meter finals on Tuesday morning.

Update: Natalie Coughlin placed first in the 100 meter backstroke, and became the first woman to repeat an Olympic gold finish in this category. Congratulations to Natalie, and may she have continued success in Beijing!
