Natalie Portman, who designs a vegan shoe line for Te Casan, was a guest judge on “Project Runway” tonight. She helped critique the “green fashion” designs of the remaining 15 contestants.
The contestants went crazy when Portman was introduced. She said she was “so happy to be there…this is one of my favorite shows.” Natalie has been a vegetarian since she was eight years old and wanted to make a line of designer shoes that were 100% vegan-friendly.
“As one of young Hollywood’s most respected actresses, Natalie Portman, Academy Award nominated and Golden Globe winning actress, has many accomplishments to her credit - Harvard graduate, humanitarian and style icon. With her premiere collection for Té Casan, footwear designer can now be added to that list.”
Natalie is a spokesperson for PETA and even discourages using animal print in any design. She describes her collection as a “great selection without compromising quality or style.â€? Incidentally, she debuted the line in February and now her shoes are on sale. You can check them out here. I’m really loving the Petra style, very sexy.
