The gorgeous Dayana Mendoza, Miss Venezuela, was crowned the 2008 Miss Universe winner earlier this evening in Nha Trang, Vietman. The pageant, which was hosted by talk show host Jerry Springer and Spice Girl Mel B, had four Latina finalists in the Top 5 - Miss Mexico, Miss Colombia, Miss Dominican Republic, and Mendoza, Miss Venezuela.
During an interview with the judges, she was asked who she thought life was easier for - men or women, to which she replied:
“God made us to share and have differences.
Men think that the faster way to go to a point is to go straight,” she said. “Women know that the faster way to go to a point is to go to the curves.”
As a biography, Dayana Mendoza was born on June 1, 1986 in Caracas, Venezuela. She is 22 years old. Her measurements are 33.5-23-35. She has brown hair and gorgeous green eyes. She stands 5′9.5″.
Dayana is a model and is signed with Elite Model Management. She has modeled for fashion designers such as Versace and Roberto Cavalli, and has traveled around the world for various modeling gigs.
Dayana was crowned Miss Venezuela 2007 on September 13, 2007. She is the second woman from the Amazonas state to win the title. She went on to compete in the Miss Universe 2008 pageant in Nha Trang, Vietnam and was crowned the winner on July 13, 2008.

Interesting surprise outcome. A photographer friend, staying with us here in Nha Trang, overheard pageant personnel speaking of Mendoza as the winner last week while traveling to a photo-op.

from the very start of the show,Dayana Mendoza had really been my bet to win the crown…
In fact, i can say that she has exceeded my expectations for her as a very professional model.she looked so great especially during the evening gown portion!!!WOW!!! I really can say that she deserves the title!!!also,i was amazed with her answer during the final questions…

Venezuela has the strongest delegates this year even the miss world contestant. The super gorgeous dayanna mendoza and hannelly quintero will surely bag the miss universe and miss world crowns, respectively, as were anticipated before.
