Stephanie Izard Biography

As a biography, Stephanie Izard is from Stamford, Connecticut, the 31-year-old chef currently resides in Chicago. She graduated from the University of Michigan and the Scottsdale Culinary Institute. She most recently appeared on Top Chef Season 4, where she says her favorite thing to cook is fish because of all the different things you can do with it.

After 13 episodes of the reality television cooking competition, Stephanie proved her prowess in the kitchen. She’s made a wedding cake, recovered from spoiled pork belly and pulled unique dishes out of her hat at all stops. And for that, she’s the next top chef.

Stephanie is the first female winner of “Top Chef” in its four-season history. She gets a feature in Food & Wine magazine, a culinary vacation in the French Alps, and $100,000 to start up her own restaurant. So, next time you’re in Chicago, look her up!
