Shaniqua Tompkins, rapper 50 Cent’s ex-girlfriend and mother of his 10-year-old son, was rescued after what the Chicago Tribune is reporting as a “suspicious fire” broke out at 5 a.m. Six people were taken to the hospital due to the house fire for smoke inhalation, including Tompkins and her son.

The multimillion-dollar home is located on Long Island and owned by 50 Cent, but was being occupied by Tompkins. The Fire Chief confirmed the Arson Squad was on the scene. The house has been at the center of a lawsuit between the former couple with Tompkins claiming 50 had promised to give her the home. 50, on the other hand, was trying to have her evicted. Tompkins apparently had until tomorrow to be out. TMZ.com has alleged video of Shaniqua and 50 fighting on the street just days before the fire after the two met with lawyers. I’m sure the truth will surface eventually. You can see pictures of the house in flames here.
