The 2008 Daytime Emmy Nominations were announced live this morning on The View. See a complete list of the 2008 Daytime Emmy Nominations below.

The folks at The View announced the 2008 Daytime Emmy Nominations live this morning, with some help from All My Children faves Rebecca Budig and Cameron Mathison, and One Life to Live’s Farah Fath and John-Paul Lavoisier.

Once again, it was CBS who led Emmy noms this year, with The Young and the Restless garnering eleven nominations and an Outstanding Drama Series nod. General Hospital made it back to the ballot this year (they were left off last year) for Outstanding Drama Series, and with their nine wins already in their pocket, it will be interesting to see who will win the “best soap” award.

The 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on Friday, June 20, 2008 at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.

I think it’s terrible that they don’t include someone from every soap for each nomination.
The same actors get selected every year and there are so many other good actors on these shows. Does the nominating commitee even watch the shows or do they just pull a name out of a hat? What a shame that such good talent is not recognized. Sorry, but this is one fan that won’t be watching.
