Janet Jackson Wardrobe Malfunction … Almost

After the wardrobe malfunction heard round the world, you’d think that Janet Jackson would be a bit more cautious with her undergarments. And by cautious, I mean wear some.

At the 19th Annual Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards, on April 27, Janet was honored with the Vanguard Award. In honor of the occasion, she wore a white jumpsuit and pinstripe blouse … unbuttoned all the way to her navel. The peep show was bad enough when she was accepting the award, but it almost went full force when Janet’s shoe got caught on her pants and she tripped. Luckily for her, she saved her fall and went on her way, without exposing herself completely. We just missed a Janet Jackson moment.

Ellen DeGeneres presented Janet Jackson with the Vanguard Award, which honored her work in increasing the visibility and understanding of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. In her acceptance speech, Janet said,

“To everyone at GLAAD and everyone in this room, I would just like to say that I hope I can always walk worthy of this award that I have both in my hand and my heart.”

The GLAAD awards air on Bravo on June 27, 2008 at 7 pm EST.
