Jason Rae, the husband of British singer Corinne Bailey Rae, died Saturday in Leeds, England, apparently of a drug overdose. See photos, video and a biography of Jason Rae below.
Jason Rae was the saxophone player for the band Haggis Horns. They were scheduled to perform at a club in Leeds on Sunday.
A man was arrested for supplying Jason with drugs but is now out after posting bail.
An autopsy was performed on Jason and found to be inconclusive, and police are waiting for the toxicology test results.
Jason Rae was born in 1976. He was 32 years old at the time of his death. He and Corinne met when she worked in a coat check room in a jazz club while she was attending Leeds University. They were married in 2001.
Jason was the saxophone player for the funk band Haggis Horns. Their debut album, Hot Damn!, was released last September. They had performed with Corinne Bailey Rae (Jason’s wife), Amy Winehouse, and Nightmares On Wax.
