Lindsay Lohan posed nude to recreate Marilyn Monroe’s infamous “Last Sitting” photoshoot in the latest issue of New York Magazine. The photos were taken by Bert Stern, the same photographer who did the photoshoot with Marilyn Monroe. Monroe’s pictures were taken when she was 36 years old, at the height of her career, and just six weeks later she was dead of an overdose.

Lindsay had no problem posing topless…

“I didn’t have to put much thought into it. I mean, Bert Stern? Doing a Marilyn shoot? When is that ever going to come up? It’s really an honor.�

The photoshoot took place on February 5 at the Hotel Bel-Air. She called Monroe’s suicide as “tragic” and added, “you know, it’s also tragic what just recently happened to someone else”. She, of course, was referring to Heath Ledger. She vowed - “I’m not them … I sure as hell wouldn’t let it happen to me.â€?
