Leave it to Jane Fonda to spark controversy yet again, this time for dropping the horrifying c*nt word on live TV this morning om the Today Show. See the video below.
Jane seemed ever so nonchalant about saying the C-word, and geez, for being 70 years old you’d think she knew better. The term is degrading and vulgar, and I don’t care that she was simply repeating the word from a line in the play, “The Vagina Monologues”, for which she is appearing in the 10th anniversary performance. Meredith Vieira was cool as a cucumber during the whole segment, but later issued an apology on air about 10 minutes later.
“We were talking about The Vagina Monologues and Jane Fonda inadvertently said a word from the play that you don’t say on television. It was a slip and obviously she apologizes, and so do we. We would do nothing to offend the audience. So please accept that apology.”
