Kurt Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, is coming of age and with that comes the fame of being the daughter of a legend. Frances graces the cover of the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar. The 15-year-old has numerous aspirations, one of which is music like her parents. Until she achieves those goals and then some, Frances has a profound message. She says,
“…People are fascinated by me, but I haven’t done anything…… If you’re a big Nirvana fan, a big Hole fan, then I understand why you would want to get to know me, but I’m not my parents…. Wait until I’ve done something valid with my life.”
Hollywood may one day be rid of crotch shot, nipple slip, wonky-eyed heiresses, who will be replaced by people who realize what it takes to be a true star, such as Frances.
As far as Frances’ ambitions, she tells Harper’s Bazaar that she’s thought about photography and/or journalism and the possibility of a summer internship at Rolling Stone. She is currently headlining as the star of Evita, Grease and Beauty and the Beast.
