You got the right stuff, baby - I love the way you turn me on. Oh, those were the days of big ’80s hair on boys (even though it was the ’90s) and leather vests. And didn’t Joey McIntyre’s hat have a big hole in the top? Weird. Well, now you can relive the dream, because People reports that the New Kids on the Block are getting back together.
It’s been 14 years since the boy band phenom called it quits, but it’s never to late to have a reunion. Just ask Led Zeppelin. (I bet you never thought you’d see NKOTB and Led Zeppelin referred to in the same paragraph.) The band’s members are now in their thirties. Jonathan Knight is a real estate developer who is turning 40 this year. Donnie Wahlberg has done some acting with mild success; he’s 38. Joey McIntyre, the front man of the crew, is 35. Danny Wood, a music producer, is 38, and Jordan Knight, the one who kept recording even through today, is 37.
The official band website has been down for years, but it’s up and running again in preparation for the big comeback.
The New Kids on the Block released their first album in 1986, but they didn’t see real success until their second album, “Hangin’ Tough”, was released in 1988. The band went onto sell 70 million records during their career.
