Hilary Duff’s reps are denying reports that the Disney star lip-synched at her concert in Mexico over the weekend. Apparently, when Hilary came out to perform, she started singing but no sound came out. After watching the video, I don’t think she lip-synched. If she did the track would have already been there when the mic failed. It looks like the mic didn’t work and then they fixed it and she continued to perform.
“She was not lip-syncing,� her rep told People.com. “It was faulty equipment. There was no sound coming out, but she was singing.�
According to People, Hilary was using local sound equipment as opposed to her own and the microphone was set to mute.
Duff’s reps insist that she performs live at all her concerts. Check out the video and judge for yourself. Or you can check out Hilary on her Dignity tour, which continues in Mexico, and moves on to Brazil and Australia.

The part where the mic was muted is where she greets the audience, “what’s up! monterrey!” etc., it’s not even a part where she sings.
