Amanda Lepore hasn’t done a movie since her 2003 film ‘Party Monster,’ but she is set to act again in the indie production ‘Shifting the Canvas.’ The film is said to be about “the evolutionary impact that gentrification imposes upon art and originality.”

As a biography, Amanda Lepore was born as a male in Cedar Grove, New Jersey on December 5th, but she’s not telling the year so her age is a bit of a mystery. Apparently, the hospital where Lepore was born burned down, taking her birth record with it in the blaze. Speculation has ranged anywhere from in her 30s to 50s. Lepore had her first cosmetic surgery at the age of 15 and then had a sex change in her final year of high school. She got married and was an unhappy housewive until leaving for New York City.

Her fashion career has been quite successful as she has modeled for M.A.C cosmetics and Swatch among others. Swatch, along with photographer David LaChapelle, created the Time Tranny watch that went on to be the fastest selling limited edition Swatch. There were actually two versions of this watch made, with the first being pulled because LaChapelle did not like it, making it a very rare find. As for fashion, Lepore is probably most known for being the face of Heatherette as her image has appeared on their clothing and she’s modeled for them during Fashion Week.

Lepore is also an aspiring singer. She doesn’t have a discography to her credit, but does have the popular songs ‘Deeper,’ ‘Champagne,’ and ‘My Hair Looks Fierce,’ which plays on her site. The site is NSFW. She also appears on Cazwell’s 2006 title track ‘Get Into It’ and sings ‘I Know What Boys Like’ in ‘Another Gay Movie.’
