Allison Dubois

As a biography, Allison Dubois was born on January 24, 1972 in Phoenix, Arizona, which makes her 35 years old. She attended Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, Arizona (interesting - I graduated from Corona as well), and graduated in 1990. She attended Arizona State University and majored in political science and minored in history.

Allison recognized her psychic abilities when she was 6 years old, and calls herself a medium and a profiler. She feels the term “psychic” has a negative connotation to it.

Allison worked with Dr. Gary Schwartz, a professor at the University of Arizona, in a variety of tests regarding her psychic abilities. Upon their first meeting, Allison accurately described a friend of Schwartz’s who had recently died. This led to more experiments conducted by Schwartz and eventually Dr. Schwartz published a book about his findings - The Truth About Medium.

Allison herself has published three books - Don’t Kiss Them Goodbye, We Are Their Heaven, and Secrets of the Monarch.

Allison is the inspiration behind the NBC drama, Medium. Patricia Arquette portrays Allison on the show. It is created by Glenn Gordon Caron, who also writes for the series as well. Allison has said about the show:

“Every episode is not a biography of my life, it is simply based on my life experiences. It is an accurate portrayal of my life and the people who share it with a little Hollywood magic thrown in.”
