Tracey Edmonds is a movie producer who married Eddie Murphy on New Year’s Day. You can see her biography and photos below.
Edmonds and Murphy were married on a private island off Bora Bora with 25 friends and family in attendance. This marriage comes after Tracey divorced Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds in 2005.
Tracey Edmonds was born Tracey McQuarn on February 18, 1967 in Los Angeles, California which makes her age 40. Edmonds graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Psychobiology and went on to become president and CEO of Our Stories Films. This studio was the brain child of BET founder Robert L. Johnson, and veteran filmmakers Bob and Harvey Weinstein, which was created to make “family friendly, African American comedies.” This position made her the first African American to head a film studio.
Along with this position, Edmonds is also the president and CEO of Edmonds Entertainment Group and owns e2 filmworks, an independent production company. Her first feature film was ‘Soul Food,’ which did an amazing $43 million on only a $7 million budget. She also serves on the Producers Guild of America’s board of governors and has been one of two African Americans to sit on the board of the Recording Industry Association of America.
Personally, Edmonds has two sons, Brandon and Dylan, from her previous marriage. Her recent wedding to Murphy spared no expense. The bride walked barefoot down the aisle to Gladys Knight’s ‘Makings of You’ in a custom-designed dress by designer Sugia Nazel and Jill Baracci. The wedding designer, Colin Cowie, created a gazebo on the beach out of 6,000 shells and gifts to the bridesmaids were gold and diamond earrings from XIV Karats and Murphy gave his groomsmen D.Atlantis watches.
