I thought this video was super cute, so I had to share. Jenna Bush, the first daughter, made an appearance on Tuesday at the Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show to promote her book tour. While on the show, Ellen asked Jenna how easy it was for her to call home, and Jenna said it was easy so Ellen asked her to call home.
“They’re going to kill me,” Jenna told Ellen. “I’m going to be in so much trouble.”
“No, they’re going to be thrilled,” DeGeneres said. “Why wouldn’t they want to say ‘hi’ to everybody and say Merry Christmas?”
“They may have wanted some warning,” responded Bush.
Jenna gets both her mom and her dad, the President, on the phone and they were very cute.
So the President got on the line: “How’s my little girl doing?”
Ellen replied, “Oh, she’s great. She’s scared she’s going to get in trouble because I just said, ‘Is it easy to just pick up the phone and call your dad anytime? And now she’s scared she’s not going to get any Christmas presents.”
President Bush said he wasn’t angry at all. “I do want to say Merry Christmas to your audience, and I want to tell my little girl I love her,” he said.
“I love you too, Dad,” Jenna responded.
And there you have it folks, your “Awww? moment of the day. The President is a softy. Check out the funny and endearing video below.
