Karith Foster Biography

Karith Foster was born in Plano, Texas and moved to New York City six years ago to pursue a career in television. According to her biography, her age is 102, and would like to meet Bill Cosby and Oprah…and “hopefully turn those meetings into business deals.” Foster received a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Stephens College (Columbia, MO) and studied at St. Peter’s College at Oxford University. Her first job was reporting for ABC until she landed a position on the production team at ‘The View.’ This is where she got her first taste of comedy.

Foster’s first comedy gig was at the Gotham Comedy Club. Since that initial performance, she became one of the New York Friars’s Club youngest members and performed at some of the best comedy clubs in New York City and across the country. This includes Caroline’s on Broadway, The Comic Strip, New York Comedy Club and Stand-Up New York. In Los Angeles she has done The Laugh Factory, The Improv and The Comedy Store. Along with working along side Imus, Foster can be seen on Comedy Central’s ‘Premium Blend and VH1’s ‘Awesomely Bad Celebrity Hair.’

Her friends call her ‘Princess’ and are convinced she’s actually a Jewish girl from Long Island trapped in that body—which, according to Foster, would “technically make her a JA-AP (Jewish African-American Princess). So in her case it’s not “talk to the hand?, but “talk to the manicure.?” Foster is also currently working on a book and a sitcom.
