Tila is currently starring in the show ‘A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila’ where she dates both men and women, but now sources are saying the show is a complete hoax. The show features both men and women vying for a chance at Tila’s heart, but Tila has apparently had a boyfriend for over a year and is, in fact, not actually bisexual. MTV has not renewed the show for a second season because, despite their efforts, Tila refuses to break up with her boyfriend and pretend she’s available.

As a biography, Tila, real name Tila Nguyen, was born on October 24, 1981 which makes her age 26. She was born in Singapore, but emigrated with her family to Houston after the Vietnam War. Tila was forced to grow up fast when her behavior got her into trouble and danger. After being sent to a boarding school early on, she eventually made it to high school where she became involved in drugs and a gang. Fighting was a way of life for Tila, and by the age of 16, she escaped to Queens, New York with $300 in her pocket. New York was more of the same and as she says it, “My lifestyle in New York City was exactly like Studio 54!”

Tila’s career started through a trip to a mall and a calendar. She was spotted by a Playboy scout who came up to her at a mall and asked her to do a test shoot. Then a friend talked her into doing a calendar for a car show in Houston. Reps in California saw her picture in the calendar and flew her out for more modeling gigs. Tila has appeared on several television shows including, ‘Surviving Nugent’, hosting Fuse TV’s ‘Pants-Off Dance-Off’, and VH1’s “WebJunks 40 Greatest Internet Superstars.’ She has also appeared on the cover’s of Stuff and Maxim magazine. But Tila’s real claim to fame is the amount of friends she has on her MySpace Page. She’s now up to 1,771,920 friends.

The MySpace page is one of many internet sites promoting Tila. She also has ‘Tila’s Hot Spot’, ‘Tilafashion.com,’ and Tila Zone.’ They help promote her modeling, fashion, and music. Tila has been a part of the bands Beyond Betty Jean, Jealousy, and most recently signed with Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. She released the ‘The Tila Tequila’ debut album in 2007.
