The Hogan’s (Bollea) divorce made headlines the last few days with Hulk claiming to be shocked and saddened, but now reports are saying the divorce is a strategic move in the potential civil suit of the Hogan’s son, Nick, with the Graziano family.

Hogan’s Divorce is Fake?

Linda Bollea filed for divorce last week. Hulk claimed to be completely unaware, learning about the situation from a St. Petersburg Times reporter, but sources say the couple had apparently been fighting for some time, especially over her spending. She also wanted to move to California, while Hulk and the kids were happy in Florida. When Hulk refused to move, Linda rented a $35,000-a-month place on her own.

Now Kimberley Kohn, a Tampa attorney who represents Ed Graziano, the father of Nick’s injured friend John Graziano, claims the divorce is an attempt to protect their assets. The couple have assets topping $7.9 million including a Belleair mansion and Clearwater Beach home. A divorce could cut these assets in half. Nick faces a felony charge of reckless driving with serious bodily injury and a potential civil suit stemming from his car accident and injury to his friend. If the car was just registered in Hulk’s name, and a divorce occurred, Linda’s half of the assets would be tougher to go after.

911 calls were released Monday from Nick’s crash with witnesses saying Nick, in a yellow Toyota Supra, and a friend, in the Bollea family Dodge Viper, were racing. Police also say Nick had consumed alcohol prior to the crash. John Graziano, 22, was riding with Nick and “suffered serious head injuries in the wreck and could require a lifetime of nursing home care, medical professionals have said.” Nick’s criminal defense attorneys, Morris “Sandy” Weinberg Jr., would not comment, noting there has not been a civil suit filed yet. The Graziano family attorney said she would proceed with a civil suit as if the couple were married.
