Bindi Irwin

Bindi Irwin

9-year-old Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, has said no to an offer to move to Hollywood and be the star of a feature film.

Her manager, John Stainton, said that she has had numerous offers from “lots of parties in the States”, but Bindi wants to stay at the Queensland zoo where she lives with her mother Terri. Stainton said:

“While Bindi lives at the zoo in Beerwah, she has every chance of being a normal kid.I think the influences she would get from having to live in Hollywood, or do a movie in Hollywood, would be different.”

Bindi’s father, Steve Irwin, died in September 2006 after he was fatally wounded by a stingray barb to his chest. Since the death of her father, Bindi continues her father’s legacy of wildlife conservation, launched her own clothing line and a fitness DVD for kids, and became the official Australian tourism ambassador.

If Bindi were to do a film, she would do so without leaving Australia.

Bravo, Bindi, Bravo. This is a classic example of a child star on the right path. Take note, Lindsay Lohan.
