Rumer Willis – 2008 Miss Golden Globe
Rumer Willis was selected by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association as Miss Golden Globe for “The 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards.” The show will air live on NBC Sunday, January 13, 2008.
Rumer,19, is the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, step-daughter to Ashton Kutcher. For his days on ‘Moonlighting,’ Bruce received four Golden Globe nominations and a Golden Globe as Best Actor in a Television Series. The President of the Hollywood Foreign Press, Jorge Camara, said this about Miss Golden Globe 2008:
“We are delighted to have Rumer Willis join us to celebrate ‘The 65 th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Since both of her parents have enjoyed successful entertainment careers in the acting profession, she is doubly qualified to serve as Miss Golden Globe.”
Rumer is an actor in her own right, starring in ‘The Whole Nine Yards’ and ‘Hostage’ alongside her parents. She has also recently wrapped filiming on two more movies, ‘I Know What Boys Like’ and the independent film ‘From Within.’
Traditionally, whoever is chosen for the coveted role does not look like a man is the daughter of a well-known celebrity.
