Jeff Garlin gives X-Rated Movies to Strikers
Actors are helping out with the writers’ strike in their own ways. After Eva Longoria handed out pizza last week, Jeff Garlin, star of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ showed up with his own box of gifts. Garlin opened a box and proceeded to hand out porn videos to the line of 3,000 strong.
He said he had a gift for them to use now that they had a lot of free time on their hands.
Incidentally, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger got involved with the strike Monday by holding a private meeting with union officials. The Governor is meeting with studio officials today in an effort to get both sides back to the negotiating table. Schwarzenegger is concerned a prolonged dispute could be rough on the state’s economy. The strike could have a ripple effect throughout the entertainment industry, which brings in $30 billion a year to Los Angeles.
Porn has got to be one area of the entertainment industry that hasn’t been affected. I mean, how much writing really goes on there?
