Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy have split. It appears that Chelsy is sick of Prince Harry’s alcohol induced shenanigans and wanted a “trial separation” from him while she concentrates on her studies at Leeds University and he focuses on his Army career.
Chelsy apparently made several emotional phone calls to Prince Harry last week, and he had agreed as well to the “trial separation”. A source close to Chelsy said:
“This is not an over-for-good situation. Chelsy and Harry both love each other very much but Chelsy has had a lot to come to terms with over recent months since moving to the UK and has not found the transition an easy one.”
A separate report is claiming that Chelsy split with the Prince after he missed her 22nd birthday to attend the rugby union World Cup final and his lack of commitment.
Chelsy moved to the UK just last month to study at Leeds for her law postgraduate degree. The move would also get her closer to her Prince, although since arriving there, she has not seen much of him. The Daily Mail had reported that Chelsy’s friends in Leeds were concerned about Chelsy, as she had become depressed about missing her family in Zimbabwe and her difficulty in adjusting to her new surroundings.
Clarence House reps have declined comment on the split, with the obligatory “we do not comment about the royals’ private lives”. Chelsy and Prince Harry dated for three years.
