Prince William and Kate Middleton are rumored to be engaged after Kate quit her job. Kate worked as a buyer for ‘Jigsaw’ for less than a year before leaving saying she needed “some time to herself.” Apparently, getting three days off a week was a little too tasking. The position at the High Street store was created especially for her by owners, John and Belle Robinson, and required only working four days a week to accomodate Prince William’s schedule. One staffer said:

“Kate is a nice enough girl but she was never what you might call committed to the job. She never worked full-time and appeared to take an inordinate amount of time off to go jetting round the world with her boyfriend.”

Kate was not only given a smoked salmon and bruschetta buffet at her going away party, she was also told her job is being kept open for her should she wish to return. The time off is said to give Kate “some breathing room” until an engagement announcement is made.
