Kellie Pickler’s teary CMA performance was amazing. See video and photos here.
Kellie Pickler broke down in tears at the Country Music Award’s (CMA’s) last night. The former American Idol contestant sang her single I Wonder, which is an autobiographical song she co-wrote about her estranged mother. Kellie looked stunning and gave an amazing performance. As she sang the end of I Wonder Kellie had tears streaming down her face and was barely able to finish, ending the song with a choked up “And just in case you’re wondering about me, from now on I won’t be in Carolina, I’m in Tennessee.
The performance was amazing, receiving a standing ovation. I don’t care for country music, and I had never heard the song, but when I watched the video it brought tears to my eyes. Kellie has an amazing talent and ability to connect with people.
Although Kellie and her mother are at odds her mother agrees. In an interview given last summer she said,
“I knew God had to have a purpose for [Kellie] because there was too many times I would have miscarried because of all the hitting and beating on my stomach.
