Charmaine Dragun committed suicide on Friday, November 2nd, by jumping to her death at The Gap, a known suicide spot in Sydney. It has been reported that Charmaine had been battling depression and had recently changed medication. Witnesses told police that they had seen a woman on a cliff before they had found her body.
As a biography, Charmaine was born on March 21, 1978 in Australia. She graduated from Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. She started out as a radio journalist, and worked in the newsroom of Perth’s 6PR and 96FM stations. She moved to TEN, and filled in as the Ten News presenter in 2003 and 2004. She was promoted to news anchor for Perth’s Ten News at Five on July 4th, 2005.
Charmaine and her partner, Simon, were planning a surprise wedding next year on their joint birthdays. They had been together since she was 16 years old.

Hey, fuck you Freddie. Thats a terrible thing to say about anyones death.
I heard a news reporter killed themselves but when I found out who it was I was like “Shit…she was the weekend news chick or filled in on weeknights”
Its kinda scary coz thinking back I remember her presenting the news. Weired how someone is here one day and gone the next.
I just cant imagine what anyone would be thinking driving up there thinking “ok, I’m going to kill myself”
And something like 9/10 people who survive jumping to their deaths say half way down they regretted it.
