Prince Harry Questioned Over Hen Harriers Shot and Killed

Prince Harry was questioned by police yesterday after witnesses claim that they saw hen harriers being shot at from the sky.

Prince Harry and a friend were shooting at the Queen’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk. A spokesman said:

“Because Prince Harry and a friend were both in the area at the time, the police have been in contact with them and asked them if they have any information that could help. Unfortunately, they had no knowledge of the alleged incident.?

It has been reported that there are only 20 of the hen harriers left on mainland England. A spokesperson for Natural England said that one of their wardens and two witnesses saw the harriers shot and killed.

“They saw the birds in the air, heard the shots and watched them fall. It wasn’t possible to see who was responsible. We are shocked that two of England’s rarest birds have been killed in this way. They are one of the most vulnerable species we have.?

There is a £10,000 (or $20,400) fine and six months’ jail time for killing the birds.
