Meet Shéryfa Luna, the young, new singer, who won the 120,000 euro first prize in the French reality show PopStar 4. See photos, video and her biography here.
Her new single, “Quelque Part�? will be in stores on November 5th, while her album will be sold starting on the 19th.
Shéryfa Luna was born on the 25th of January 1989, in Paris, France. Expressing her great passion in song and dance, the young artist wanted to demonstrate her gifted spot in the world of music. While she participated in the auditions, Shéryfa specialized in becoming a hairdresser apprentice.
In 2007, she passed the competitions and became a contestant on the French reality show, PopStar4, in Paris, France where she left everyone shocked and surprised over her beautiful voice and nice face.
With her sense of groove, the young woman, who is very influenced in today’s style of hip-hop, looks much like the big French female rapper, Mélanie Georgiades, better known as Diam’s. Shéryfa’s big musical inspiration did not only bloom from Diam’s music, but also from the likes of Alica Keys, Lauryn Hill, Wallen, and Laure Milan. The PopStar winner enjoys writing her own lyrics and loves not only hip-hop but R&B as well.
